Tutorial: "Abstract Lines" Design

Happy Saturday! Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I went to a Cubs game! So, here's a Cubs-inspired manicure, although it's totally cute enough to be worn to any occasion. And once again, it was made using Scotch Tape! So,  here's whatcha do:

Step 1: Start out with any base color of your choice. I'm using China Glaze's "Wild Mink".

Step 2: Once completely dry, cut two thin strips of tape for each finger. Make sure to vary the size a bit so it looks abstract.

Step 3: Apply the strips to your nail, with one horizontal and one vertical as shown.

Step 4: Paint over the entire nail with a different color than the base. They can be within the same color family, or they can be complete opposites! I think dark green and red would be adorable for Chrisrmas!

Step 5: Remove the tape immediarely after painting.

Step 6: Apply your favorite topcoat to keep your design glossy and chip-proof.

Well there it is! I hope you enjoyed, and I hope you try this design yourself! I'd love to see the results. And as always, be sure to comment and become a member of my blog! Ciao!
